Target Group

 

Boys aged 11 to 18 who have behavioural and emotional adjustment difficulties and are suitable for admission to secondary schools.

 

Prospects

Counselling on Further Study and Open Employment

  • Regular case conferences will be conducted by the residential and school sections for the students, their parents and referring workers to review the students’ progress on behaviour and academic level. The students may return home for family reunion and study in mainstream schools, receive vocational training or enter the workforce if their performances are assessed to be good and stable.

 

  • Upon graduation, Form 3 students can choose to pursue senior secondary education in our School or study in mainstream schools, direct-subsidized secondary schools, vocational training schools, building and construction training schools or to join apprenticeship training schemes to further their studies.

Hostel services : 120 places

 

Fees

 

The services are fully subvented by the Government. However, parents have to be responsible for the personal expenses of the boys, including medical consultation, books, snacks, transportation fee and personal consumable items.

 

Admission

 

Parents can contact social workers from local schools, Social Welfare Department, NGOs, or other professionals to apply through the Central Co-ordinating Referral Mechanism (C.C.R.M.)

 

Boys/ Inmates in need of clinical psychological services can apply through the hostel's caseworker via an internal referral process.

Withdrawal

 

When the students no longer require the services of the Centre, the parents may apply for withdrawal of services through their referring workers.
